This is an area of my life that I had to learn the hard way and in a quick hurry! As I mentioned on my about page, I struggled with some major health issues only 4 short years ago. The Doctors thought I was “per-menopause” at 32years old…common? After seeking the advise from a well know natural path we came to the conclusion that my body was shutting down and that it was rejecting all nutrients that I was putting into it. So there was no time but the present to educate myself on what my body needed to heal itself. I’m sure you’ve all heard that disease can’t live in an alkaline environment, this is true but what I didn’t know was that certain foods that are alkaline for some weren’t alkaline for me…why? Because of my blood type!

One of my resources has been. “Eat Right for (4) Your Type”

blood-type-diet

Being  the good wife that I am, I was cooking to satisfy my husbands needs and his desires for food. Not knowing that his body’s requirements was clashing with mine. We soon found out that I am an “A” blood type and my Hubby is an “O”  this being said and now knowing what I know, his diet of red meats and veggies with killing me slowly. The “A” blood type individual strives in a vegetarian lifestyle and red meat only make the body work extra hard to break down and my body just couldn’t do it any more so it started rejecting all substances that I was feeding it. According to the natural path testings I was showing up as anorexic, which shocked me beyond disbelief as I was over 200lbs standing at 5’9″.

“You Could of Fooled Me”

First thing was first, I had to stop eating everything that I was currently eating and figure out what my body really needed.

Needless to say, there is no “One Size – Fits All” Diet

You will find this time and time again, some of your friends will try and succeed at some fad diet and then you try it too, and 429210_10152115718785104_287716985_nwith great dismay you get the exact opposite results. Why is that?  Because your body requires different foods in order for it to function at its fullest!  So, my advice to you is first find out what your blood type is and then find out what foods your body needs to run properly and then start narrowing out the foods that are recommended to avoid. I am not saying that you can never have those foods, I’m just saying eat them in moderation and consideration as to what your body is requesting from you.

What Else?

On top of learning what my body needed, I have also adopted some great “go to” additions into my diet. Shakeology being one of them. Shakeology is a daily treat in my mind, it has more than its fair share of value in every glass, not only does it have over 70 ingredients in every glass it also helps to Lose Weight, Reduce Cravings, Feel Energized and Improves Digestion and Regularity. Now how can you not want to add this to your daily diet?  Want more information check it out here Shakeology.
